CHEM 373 Environmental Quality: The Chemical Approach (4)

This course deals with the chemical aspects of environmental quality. Emphasis is placed on the identification, chemical characterization, and controls of pollutants. Topics include air, water, pesticides, climate change, heavy metals, alternative energy sources.

Prerequisites:

  • CHEM 124 GE: General Chemistry II

  • CHEM 126 GE: General Chemistry II Laboratory

Required for:

  • This course is required for BS majors in Environmental Studies. It also fulfills an upper-level elective for the Chemistry major or minor.
